What Goes On Behind Closed Doors?
When I received this book I immediately started it and finished it within a few days. Behind Closed Doors is a psychological thriller that immediately sucks you in. Jack and Grace are the perfect couple, he is a charming and wealthy man and she is very gracious and an elegant woman. The kind of couple everyone wants to be. In their social circle, their parties are perfect. But behind closed doors, things are very different.
We learn of the courtship and marriage of Jack and Grace, Jack thinks he has met the girl of his dreams and Grace finally finds the man of hers.Grace has a sister. Millie who has Downs and what attracted Grace to Jack in the first place is how well he treated Millie. Grace has plans on having Grace live with her and Jack. Things seem just about perfect.
I was pulled into the story right away reading the perfect romance and started to think things were a bit weird when Grace had to go on the plane to Thailand on her own. As the story went on I became more and more appalled by Jack's behavior and how he started to treat Grace. Once back from their honeymoon, I like Grace hoped everything would get better but things kept spiraling downhill until I could barely believe what was happening.
I really don't want to say too much more but believe me when I say that this is a book you absolutely have to read. You will feel what Grace feels, the emotions, the uncertainty, and fear that comes from living with a sociopath. The best book I have read all year!
